Mixed Grill Favorites Podcast -- Carmen Torbus
I've "known" Carmen for several months. I took her online class, Spill It! and had a great time. I learned a few new techniques, but mostly, I learned about myself as an artist. If she teaches it again, I really suggest you take it. Talking to Carmen was a real treat for me, because she's so enthusiastic and passionate about what she does -- and what others do, too!
- She mentioned artist Bridgette Guerzon Mills as being particularly inspirational as she thumbed through that first issue of Artful Blogging that she saw.
- Carmen is inspired by Tara Joyce's work on Rise of the Innerpreneur. She specifically mentioned this post.
- The term 'innerpreneur' was coined by Ron Rentel in the book Karma Queens, Geek Gods, and Innerpreneurs.
- Carmen's book will be published by North Light Books, a subsidiary of F+W Media.
- She'll be teaching May 21-23 a retreat at The Purple Cottage in Florida, called Art & Dreams Bound. Registration closes soon!
- Carmen will be a regular columnist at Wishstudio, starting in April.
- Carmen has a great blog; there is a list of contributors to her new book on the left hand side. You can also find her on Facebook -- she also has a fan page! -- and Twitter.
