Really enjoyed listening to Nancy, I surely understand the problems of balancing life and art, it's difficult and some days very aggravating, as well as tiring. I think the person who pays dearly is my husband, I work M-F and at night and on weekends I try to slip in a little studio time. One salvation has been getting back to crocheting. I can keep him company on errands, in front of the TV, visiting friends.....and have-hook-will- travel, I can satisfy the urge to create with my hands while spending time with him.

Truthfully, I'd love to be able to go without sleep to free up another 6-8 hours tho!

Great interview Nancy, enjoyed listening to you!

Balance? what's that?? Only kidding (sort of)...at this point in my life I finally have the time...my children are all grown and living productive lives. My career as a pharmaceutical package designer ended and so now I wake up each day and ask myself: Self, what will it be today? Painting? Collage? Polymer Clay? This is the first time since I was 14 that I am not working, going to school, going to work , raising children or taking care of an ill parent and I relish this time of my life. I just celebreated my 55th birthday and am looking forward to many years of artmaking!
